The selection of formidable male allies within coalitional settings is partially in the service ensuring protection from physical threats for group members. Within these inferences could include specific judgments men as being effective at providing their offspring, a judgment that facilitate identification prospective fathers who satisfy parenting goals. current study sought to identify value men’s strength shaping perceptions effectiveness domains or and nurturance offspring. Participants evaluated physically strong weak domains. Strong were perceived more protecting offspring than men, with this advantage corresponding less nurturance. We frame results an affordance management framework considering role functional interpersonal preferences.
